Pastoral Council Members

Pastoral Council Members

Pastoral Council members work with more than 100 ministries in the areas of Liturgy, Music and Worship; Faith Formation; Parish Life and Evangelization; Pastoral Care; and Social Justice and Outreach. The members stay in touch with Pastor Larry Solan and the parish staff. They also partner with the Servant Leaders of the parish ministries individually and at bi-monthly Servant Leader - Pastoral Council meetings.

Council members are asked to serve a three-year-term and they meet twice a month. The process for selecting Pastoral Council members includes nomination and a CARE profile assessment to determine what strengths they would most contribute to a collaborative team (Creative, Advancement of initiatives, Refining of plans and processes or Execution). Each of these roles is vital, so a balance of the four is the ideal. As a prayerful team of about twelve members, the Pastoral Council recommends a path forward for the parish through the pastoral planning process.

Members serve as a consultative and advisory body to the Pastor with membership comprised of Parish members The Council, through prayerful consensus of all stakeholders, identifies the needs and priorities of the parish, develops and communicates a vision, initiates goals, identifies means to meet those goals, and provides for implementation of that vision.
