Finance Council
Members provide advisory council to the Pastor and Chief Finance Officer in financial matters pertaining to the Parish. The Finance Council oversees the budgeting and auditing processes. Audit Committee Members review parish accounting procedures, finances, and the handling of money to ensure that internal controls are in place. Volunteers must possess basic accounting skills. Budget Committee Members review and prioritize budgets submitted by staff and ministries. A background in finance/ budget is helpful. Facility and Property Committee Members advise the Pastor and Director of Operations in matters affecting the parish physical plant and the surrounding grounds. This includes maintenance, janitorial, security, landscaping, upkeep and replacement of capital equipment, and remodeling and construction projects. This Committee develops that portion of the Parish Master Plan dealing with any building and grounds modification and/or construction and assists, as needed, in planning, coordinating and implementation of the Plan. Youth may participate by assisting with special projects.
