Middle School (6th-8th Grade)

Welcome to the St. Patrick’s Middle School Program
(2009 – 2010)

Time Schedule

Faith Formation classes for middle school students will be held on Sunday afternoons from 3:15 to 4:45 pm, on Sunday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, and on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00 pm. If you need to register your student for Faith Formation classes, please stop by the parish office during regular business hours.

New Snack Policy

Snacks will not be provided during the classes.  However, students may bring a snack from home to eat during the class sessions.  The time for eating snacks will be determined by each Catechist.  Each Catechist reserves the right to cancel snacks in the classroom if the students fail to 1.) clean up after themselves and 2.) be considerate of others.  If you any questions, please see Nate Rose.

Bad Weather Policy

St. Patrick’s will follow the policy of District 11.  (If D11 is closed, St. Patrick’s will be closed.)  Otherwise, if classes are cancelled, the information will be posted on the parish website.  Catechists will be notified of any cancelations and will be responsible for contacting the parents or guardians of their students.  Also, tune into TV Channels 5 and 11 for any weather updates.

Dress Code

The Faith Formation Council has developed a formal dress code for everyone including staff, catechists, volunteers and students.  You should have received this policy at registration.  All parents must sign this form.  Additionally, all 6th - 8th grade students must sign acknowledging their understanding and acceptance of the dress code.  A copy of the dress code policy is available for your reference at the parish office.  If you have any questions, please see Nate Rose.

Discipline/Behavior Standards

Discipline is an important part of the Faith Formation Program.  All students are expected to be respectful and attentive during the class sessions.  Catechists are asked to explain standards of discipline in their classrooms.
